IndyCar Driver Earpieces - A Demonstration of the Technologies Within
IndyCar Earpieces, known as the "Delphi Earpiece Sensor System" does much more than protect the driver's ears from the incredibly loud noises of their cars. These custom made, custom molded gel earpieces contain speakers for audio input to communicate with the pit crew. Even more impressive is the multi-axis accelerometers for accumulating information in the event of a wreck that can help in determining the level of impact (G-forces or "G Load") the driver may have endured.
